Creating your first invoice
This guide walks you through creating a basic outbound invoice step by step.
Prerequisites
Before creating your first invoice, make sure the following are configured in Settings:
- A premises and POS device
- At least one partner (customer)
- At least one product or service
- An active business year
Step 1 — Open the new invoice form
Click Outbound invoices in the sidebar, then click the + button (new invoice) in the top-right of the page.
Step 2 — Select premises and POS device

| Business year | Auto-filled — read only |
| Invoice number | Auto-generated — read only |
| Payment reference | Auto-generated from the configured template |
Step 3 — Enter customer and document details

| Customer | Search by name or OIB |
| Business process | Select the document type (most commonly P1 for a contract invoice or P5 for cash payment) |
| Payment method | Bank transfer, cash, card… |
| Operator OIB | Your OIB (required for fiscalization) |
| Invoice date | Format: dd.mm.yyyy |
| Due date | Auto-calculated from customer payment terms |
Step 4 — Add line items
For each row in the line items table enter:

| SKU | Type the product code or click 🔍 to search the catalog |
| Description | Product/service description (auto-filled when selected from catalog) |
| Quantity | Number of units (decimal, comma separator) |
| Unit | Unit of measure (e.g. pcs, h, m) |
| Price (EUR) | Unit price excluding VAT |
| Disc. % | Percentage discount (optional) |
| VAT rate | Select the applicable VAT rate |
| KPD code | Classification code (optional, unless required by the business process) |
| Amount | Auto-calculated |
Click + Add item below the table to add more rows.
For line items with 0% VAT, the system will ask you to select a VAT exemption reason.
Step 5 — Review and save
At the bottom of the form you will see:
- Net amount — total excluding VAT
- VAT — broken down by rate
- Total — including VAT
Completion options:

| Save as draft | Invoice stays in “Created” status — can be edited later |
| Finalize invoice | Invoice is finalized and fiscalization is triggered (if configured for the premises) |
Invoice statuses
| Status | Description |

| Created | Draft — editable |
| Finalized | Locked, ready for fiscalization |
| Fiscalized | Confirmed by FINA/CIS (JIR assigned) |
| Sent | Delivered to the customer via moj-eRačun |
Finalized and fiscalized invoices cannot be modified. If a correction is needed, create a corrective invoice (business process P10).
